Fitness is defined as "one's ability to execute daily activities with optimal performance, endurance, and strength with the management of disease, fatigue, and stress and reduced sedentary behavior"
Unfortunately, in our modern world, many struggle to live a lifestyle that is conducive to living optimally.
The path to greater health is often filled with twists, turns, confusion and setbacks.
But it doesn't have to be.
Healthy Happenings was founded to reduce the barriers that many people face when it comes to taking control of their health.
With Healthy Happenings, you and I will work together to create a custom plan that is suited to your goals and needs using a holistic approach. Through this, we will develop activities and habits that will allow you to reach your full potential.
Growing up, I always had a passion for movement. This was primarily in the form of outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, mountain biking and backpacking.
As I got older, I was drawn to the possibilities that the gym presented and from day one, I was hooked. I used the gym as a tool to enhance my athletic performance in my outdoor endeavors.
This became the foundation for my training philosophy. I was not training for a sporting event but for life. For a body with greater resilience that was able to tackle what the world threw at it on trips and expeditions.
Today, I continue to use my experiences and knowledge to help those reach the summit of their own proverbial mountains.
At the core of our day-to-day activities are 6 essential movement patterns. While a typical exercise routine will cover most them, neglecting even one can place your long-term wellness at risk.
That is why our training is centered around these fundamental movements which are the cornerstone of functional fitness and have direct application in our daily lives. In combination with proper nutrition and recovery, optimal health can be achieved.
You can say goodbye to fad routines that are bombarded across TVs, magazines and websites that promise instant results. This journey is a marathon, not a sprint. Small and feasible changes that over time will have large impacts on you're overall wellbeing
Sustainability over speed.
